A mother in Nashville was reportedly arrested Monday morning for helping her daughter attack a classmate at a school bus stop.

Kalina Gaines, 30, was charged with assault for punching and kicking the young victim in the face about 8:30 a.m., according to arrest affidavit obtained by The Nashville Tennessean.

The mother reportedly initiated the assault on the victim in response to a fight between the two students on Friday. Its unclear what the previous squabble was about.
