Authorities name all victims of fatal California diving boat fire

All 34 people killed when a California diving boat went up in flames on Labor Day have been identified and their loved ones notified, authorities announced.

The Santa Barbara County Sheriffs Office released each of the names during a Thursday press conference.

The youngest victim aboard the doomed vessel known as the Conception was Berenice Felipe, 16, of Santa Cruz, Calif. Felipe was on a three day scuba diving trip in the Channel Islands celebrating her best friend, Tia Salika-Adamics 17th birthday, according to a GoFundMe page for the teens funeral expenses.

Tia, as well as her parents Carol Diana Adamic, 60, and Steven Salika, 55, also of Santa Cruz, died as well.

The oldest victim was Ted Strom, 62, of Germantown, Tenn. He was a doctor at the Memphis VA Medical Center since 2009, as well as an associate professor at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Local 24 News reported last week.
