Ian Wright believes there will be one more twist in the Premier League title race which will see Liverpool crowned champions ahead of Manchester City.

Liverpools dramatic 3-2 victory over Newcastle on Saturday piled the pressure on City to beat Leicester City on Monday night.

City can reclaim top spot ahead of the final game of the season with a win at home to Brendan Rodgers side, but Wright believes Liverpool could still be champions.

They are showing character, Wright said on Premier League TV after the result against Newcastle.

Theyre chasing down a great Manchester City side and they dont know when theyre beaten.

Whats good about is they believe themselves. The fact is Liverpool have not stopped, theyve made this an unbelievable race.

I chose Liverpool at the start of the season, its no secret. You couldnt ask for anymore, run for your money. And I still think something might happen.

Should City win against Leicester, Pep Guardiolas side will be in the driving seat on the final day of the season when they take on Brighton away from home.
