United had taken the lead through Juan Mata in Sundays clash but Marcos Alonso capitalised on another error from De Gea to score Chelseas equaliser in the 1-1 draw.

According to The Sun, De Gea spoke to his United teammates at half-time before Ole Gunnar Solskjaer gave his team talk and apologised for his error.
