A pensioner has been jailed for seven years after he helped create child abuse from his home in north wales.

Peter Booth, 74, used Skype to get others to carry out sex acts on young girls aged just six and nine in the Philippines.

He directed the footage and was found to have paid eight people £19,400 to make the films over a three-year period.

Police were alerted that indecent images of children were being uploaded from his house in Llandudno, north Wales.

Booth admitted seeing indecent images but claimed he didnt possess any of them.

Further investigations on his laptop and mobile phone uncovered more than 500 images.

Matthew Curtis, defending, claimed that Booth had attempted to take his own life after being arrested and has been disowned by all of his family other than his sister.

A pensioner has been warned he faces a lengthy jail sentence after admitting he watched children in the Philippines being abused online. Peter Booth pleaded guilty to four charges of causing or inciting the sexual exploitation of a child under 13 by paying to view the live sexual abuse of children via Skype. A judge at Caernarfon Crown Court was told the children in a 13-minute video were aged just nine and six years old. The offences were said to have been committed in July 2016. The 74-year-old, of St Andrew's Avenue in Llandudno, also admitted charges of possessing indecent images of children and distributing such images.
