Liverpool beat Porto 2-0 at Anfield in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final, but Salah was lucky to avoid a red card.
A high tackle in the final ten minutes of the match saw Salah plant his studs into the leg of Danilo, but VAR did not review the decision.
Salah was fortunate not to cause serious injury to Danilo and Mourinho admitted the Liverpool forward should have been given his marching orders.
