Liam Plunkett is finding inspiration from Cristiano Ronaldo and LeBron James as he bids to extend his career and help England win the World Cup.

New Surrey signing Plunkett has been a key member of Englands one-day team over the past four years, taking 56 wickets in 34 matches since the start of 2017.

At the age of 33, Plunkett accepts the 2019 World Cup provides him with one last chance to lift the prestigious trophy and he is doing all he can to ensure he if fit and raring to go when the tournament starts.

You dont want to go away from what works but you need to improve on that, the former Yorkshire bowler told ESPNcricinfo.

Plunkett was Englands stand-out bowler in 2017 but his stock has fallen slightly over the past six months.
