Alisson has revealed he spoke to Roberto Firmino and other Liverpool players before joining the Premier League club from Roma.
Liverpool signed the Brazilian goalkeeper last year in a £65million summer move and he has since developed into one of the biggest stars at Anfield.
The 26-year-old is enjoying a superb season, conceding just 19 goals in 32 Premier League matches as the Reds have climbed to the top of the table.
Alisson is now rated as one of the best shot-stoppers in the world and has revealed the advice he received from Firmino and other Liverpool stars ahead of his move.
I spoke to Roberto and others before I came here and they told me about the British and that the people are very organised, Alisson told Liverpools official website.
He told me how things run in the club and that the emphasis is all about football so there were not too many mysteries.
Its a very good life with a very good team. For me it was an important step in my career.
We can describe the club as being like a family with some differences as we dont fight too much – less than a lot of families do and thats a good thing!
Alisson has already kept 17 clean sheets in the league this season and says he is fortunate to play alongside PFA Player of the Year contender Virgil van Dijk.
It is great playing with him and all my team-mates, the Brazil international said.
Van Dijk is a very important player for our team and the way he plays gives consistency for us, defending high balls, corners and set-pieces.
I have a big protection in front of me in Virgil and Joel (Matip) and the other defenders like Dejan (Lovren) and the full-backs have been very important too.
